All my life I have been suffering from inferiority complex. Partly because I have been a victim of bully throughout my primary education level and partly because I chose to allow my bullies to control my life.
I was an easy target to my bullies simply because I was an introvert and shy. I liked keeping things to myself and most of the times I just couldnt stand for myself and that knocked off my confidence.
Until one day during my high school days when I laid my hands on a book titled “The Power of Positive Thinking” by Norman Vincent Peale. A self-help book that uses a biblical approach to help the reader achieve a positive thinking attitude.
My life has never been the same since then. The book helped me in building my self-confidence, believing in my inner abilities and having a positive view of myself.
Once you start to believe in yourself, magic happens!!!

Kudos on finding ways to boost your confidence. I struggled with confidence when I was younger and for much of my life. Gradually Iβve come to love and accept myself if not always confident.

And how liberating it is to have freedom from social anxiety knowing you are no longer concerned about what others might think of you! Not to mention freedom from self doubt and negative thoughts which can eventually lead to depression!

Agreed. I’m not always in that place, but more often than when I was young.

You have a good and strong reason to start your blog. I was also shy in my school days. I was named ‘ the silent boy’ in the class because I speak too little. I was unable to co-operate with my classmates.
My life changed when I followed my interest. I am happy now. Thank you Malisa.

Every morning when I leave the house I stop at the mirror in the hall and stand up straight, chest out, head up, I smile and then I stride out the door as if I own the Universe. I feel a lot more confident than ever before.
